This Rosedale family home was reworked around its kitchen, the room where every day begins and ends.
We paired pale lacquered cabinetry with a low island in smoked oak, wrapped in thick honed stone, and set a wall of handmade tile behind the range for a texture that shifts with the light. Pendants are kept few and fine, so the architecture stays calm.
In the living rooms the same palette carries through in charcoal, oak and soft wool: deep, low seating, a simple fireplace and sheer drapery that filters the trees outside.
