Stone Cottage

A retreat on the water, built from stone and timber and designed to be lived in through every season.

The great room rises to exposed trusses around a fieldstone hearth, with tall steel-framed windows opening to the trees and the bay beyond. Deep, low sofas, a long dining table and a canopy of light overhead make the room feel generous, but never grand.

Throughout, we let natural materials lead: oak, stone, leather and linen, in the soft greys and browns of the landscape outside.
