Urban Oasis

Behind the brick front of a Victorian in the Annex, the house was taken back to its bones and rebuilt for a quieter way of living. We kept its proportions, its tall windows and its stair, and let everything new speak softly around them.

White oak runs the length of the kitchen as a single wall of millwork, opening to the garden through slim steel windows. Marble with a gentle vein, bronze hardware and linen sheers keep the palette warm and close in tone, so the light can do most of the work.

A curved banquette turns the breakfast corner into the room everyone gathers in.
